With your kind support, LFUOSC can bring a little comfort and solace to its most impoverished and desperate members. Not only will you lighten the burdened hearts of those you help, but you will be comforted with the knowledge that you are personally responsible for bettering their lives. In this time of strife and terror, this is your virtuous gift of life for destitute individuals.

What has LFUOSC accomplished with the generous support of members like you?

With the help of people like you, LFUOSC has provided food and sustenance for malnourished members in famine riddled sections of Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and North and South America. Housing has been provided for homeless members in the form of hostels, caves and crypts, free from the fear of local reprisal and surrounded by the camaraderie of other members. Much needed psychological treatment has been provided for the unfortunately large number of our members who have had trouble dealing with unnecessary acts of hatred, needless loss of family members, centuries of persecution and the rapid technological and social changes in our modern society. Medical help has been given to those members who have need but no resources of personal recuperative abilities or access to proper medical attention.

What is the main thrust of LFUOSC in helping its members?

The greatest gift that the LFUOSC can give to its members is personal contact with a compassionate and understanding individual such as yourself. Even in the worst situations that our members find themselves, the simple joy of knowing there is someone who cares and supports them can help them overcome the horrors of day to day life. The simplest contact gives them hope and the ability to carry on. It is the gift of self respect that all deserve and many go without.

How can you help the LFUOSC and its members?

There are many ways to help the LFUOSC and its efforts of mercy.

The simplest way is our Project Contact. Project Contact is an effort to quickly bring as much hope as possible to our most desperate members. You simply write a letter of support and send it with one dollar US to LFUOSC. We will send your letter and gift on to a needy member and send you a signed LFUOSC appreciation card.

We also offer Extended Project Contact. With a gift of your letter of support and $10 US, you will receive a letter back from the grateful recipient as well as a signed LFUOSC appreciation card.

Our main focus is Project Understanding, which brings a needy LFUOSC member together with a special someone just like you. For a generous gift of $100 US or more, you can become a year long sponsor of a desperate LFUOSC member. You will receive a questionnaire that includes a list of the locations we work in as well as the types of members in that location. After filling it out and returning it, you will receive a welcome package that includes a letter from your sponsored member, an illustration of the member (photography does not work on many of our members), a Project Understanding brochure and a status report on LFUOSC issues for that member and the location in general. Then, you will be encouraged to write letters of support to your sponsored member. And they will write letters back to you, describing the help your letters and gift have given them, their day to day struggles and personal thoughts and feelings. You will receive a minimum of 10 letters during the year, dependent on their ability to meet with a LFUOSC representative. If you choose to continue to sponsor the member after that year, you can continue with another gift of $100 US.
